Pécs ( / peɪtʃ / PAYTCH, Hungarian: [peːt͡ʃ] ⓘ; Croatian: Pečuh; German: Fünfkirchen, pronounced [fʏnfˈkɪʁçn̩] ⓘ; also known by other alternative names) is the fifth largest city in Hungary, on the slopes of the Mecsek mountains in the country's southwest, close to its border with Croatia.
